Additionally, please do not worry if your airline has cancelled your flight and you have not yet been in contact with Hopper. Airlines are communicating these cancellations with us and we are processing them as soon as we can. Given the unprecedented amount of cancellations due to COVID-19, it may take up to 15 business days for this cancellation and any potential refunds to be processed on our end.
Cancelling your flight in the app
If you need to request a cancellation for your flight with Hopper, simply tap on the booking you're inquiring about, and then select "Cancel My Trip" to submit a cancellation request. If you are having trouble finding this option in the app, make sure you have updated your app to the latest version.
After reading through the terms, simply swipe from left to right to unlock and submit your cancellation request.
Cancellation due to illness or death in the family
If you can no longer travel due to the death or illness of yourself, an accompanying passenger or immediate family member, please click here.
Good to know
For some bookings, the airline may offer a one-year future travel credit to re-book your flights at a later date if you cancel your booking prior to departure.
If you’ve booked with a low-cost carrier such as Spirit Airlines or Ryanair, the booking is managed directly by the airline and you’ll need to contact them to pursue a cancellation. For these reservations, your Hopper confirmation code will generally start with a "Z-" (example Z-ABCDEFG).
If you've booked a basic economy ticket, refunds are not permitted by the airline for cancellations and the airline will not make exceptions.
