How do I purchase a Price Freeze?
When you select a hotel you will see an option to freeze the price by paying a small deposit. Simply tap on the Price Freeze button like in the image below and complete the steps.
After purchasing a Hotel Price Freeze, you will then see it on your app’s home screen.
How do I use my Hotel Price Freeze?
When you pay your deposit to freeze a hotel price, you will see your Price Freeze on the app’s Home screen.
- Tap on the Price Freeze, ensure that the details are correct and hit the Book Now button from your Price Freeze. Please note that if you book from any other place in the app, your price freeze will not be applied. You must book by first tapping on the Price Freeze.
- After tapping “Book Now” from your Price Freeze, review the details of your room and Swipe to Pay - It’s that simple!
What is my Price Window?
When you add a Price Freeze, we will freeze the price until your expiration date, which will be specified to you at the time of purchase. You can view the expiration date and other details when you tap on the freeze from the home screen on the app.
Is there a limit to how much a Hotel Price Freeze will cover?
Yes - Your price freeze covers price changes to an upper limit. If the price of the hotel rate you've frozen increases and you'd still like to book, Hopper will cover any price increase up to $100 USD. If the price increases by more than $100 USD at the time you'd like to complete the booking, a member of our support team will reach out to you to let you know about the price after the $100 credit is applied to the booking. You'll be able to choose whether or not you would like to apply the $100 USD to that booking and pay the difference or forfeit the deposit.
Can I book a different hotel or different stay dates from what I froze?
Changed your mind? To book a different hotel or change your stay dates, simply tap on your Price Freeze and hit the “Contact Support” section. One of our agents will reach out to you during business hours and help you book the hotel or dates you want. Your Price Freeze deposit will be applied to your booking and then become void.
What should I do if my Price Freeze booking fails?
No worries! Simply reach out to us through by tapping on “Contact Support” and one of our agents will contact you during business hours to assist. Depending on the situation, you will either receive a refund for your deposit, or we will work with you to find a similar hotel that you can transfer your deposit toward.
Can I freeze more than one room?
You can only freeze one room at a time per Price Freeze. If you want to freeze more than one hotel room, you’ll need to purchase a separate Price Freeze for each room you want to book.
Can I freeze a specific room type?
No. At this time, you are able to freeze the best available rate at the hotel, but not the specific room type. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the room type or view at the time of booking with a Price Freeze. You can always reach out to our support team to request a specific room before booking your hotel with a Price Freeze, but please note that we are not always able to provide you the room of your choice.
Can I get a refund on my deposit?
In most cases, the Price Freeze deposit is a non-refundable purchase. Should you choose to cancel your reservation, please note that the deposit is still non-refundable. However, in the rare case that one of the below situations arises, you could be eligible for a refund of your Price Freeze deposit:
- If the hotel you purchased a Price Freeze for is no longer available at the time of booking and you don’t want an alternate accommodation
- If the hotel cancels your reservation
- If the hotel doesn’t have your reservation on file at the time of check-in
