For a small fee, you can now add Cancel For Any Reason Protection (CFAR) to select hotel bookings in the app! With this special rate from Hopper, you can cancel without worry up to 24 hours before check-in and you’ll receive a partial refund for your booking.

How much will I be refunded if I cancel?

If you need to cancel your hotel booking, you will be refunded 80% of the cost of your hotel booking - no questions asked, no documents needed! All cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the time of check in to be eligible for the 80% refund. This deadline will be shown in your confirmation email as well.

How do I cancel my CFAR booking?

If you can no longer travel and need to cancel your hotel booking, simply select “Contact Support” from your hotel booking in the app and then select “Cancel Reservation.” From there, you’ll be asked to select an option to cancel. Be sure to select “Cancel my refundable booking” and then our team will take care of the rest for you!

How will I receive my refund?

Once we process your cancellation request, your refund will be processed back onto your original method of payment within 3 to 10 business days.

Is CFAR the same as Trip Protection?

No. Hopper’s Trip Protection is a travel insurance option available with our partner AON. Any claims for Trip Protection would need to be filed directly with AON. With Cancel For Any Reason protection, you won’t need to file a claim - you can simply cancel the booking right from the app!

Why can’t I see a CFAR rate for the room type I want?

At the moment, CFAR rates are only available for the best available room rate at the hotel at the time of booking, but we are working to make CFAR rates available for all room types. Stay tuned!
