How do I book a flight on Hopper?

Hopper makes it easy to shop for flights. You can browse the steps below to learn more about how to hone in on the best options for your desired destination and dates of travel.

1. Search for Flights

For round-trip and one-way flights:

  1. Enter your departure and arrival cities and select the desired airports, then select either round-trip or one-way. You may want to apply some filters if you'd like to reduce the length of layovers or even avoid basic economy fares.

  2. You can select travel dates based on your budget (with green being the cheapest and red the most expensive).

  3. Hopper shows you the lowest current available price for these dates, as well as the price predictions.

  4. If you'd like to wait for a better deal, you can watch a specific itinerary to receive notifications if there is a price change on your desired flights.

For multi-city fights:

  1. Start by selecting the “Multi-city” button at the top right of the screen. Once in this search screen, you will have the option to add up to 6 city pairs and corresponding dates to search for your trip.

  2. Similar to round-trip and one-way flights, you can apply filters to reduce the length of stops or to avoid basic economy fares.

  3. The app shows you the lowest current available price for these dates, as well as the price predictions.

  4. If you'd like to wait for a better deal, you can watch a specific itinerary to receive notifications if there is a price change on your desired flights.

  5. It’s important to pay attention to the details on each segment of multi-city flights, as they could be a combination of different flights with different fare rules. Cancellation or changes to one flight leg may or may not affect the other legs of the trip.

Note: Multi-city flights can only be booked using the Hopper app.

2. Select Flights

To see departure and return flights, select "View Flights" on the app (or "Search" on the web.) You will have the option to choose flights based on your travel preferences, budget, and even the airline. If you’ve selected a “Multi-city” flight with layovers, these options will still be presented when selecting flights.

3. Review Your Flight Details

Once you've selected an outbound and a return flight, review your fare details on the app. On the web, you will be presented with a "Trip Review."

Be sure to review all of your flight details, including baggage, changes, cancellation, and seat selection.

You'll then need to add the travelers who will be flying, select your seats (if available), add travel protection options, and your payment method.

4. Complete the Booking Process

Hopper will run a final check to make sure your itinerary is still available. Once you have reviewed your flight details and you are ready to purchase the flight, simply swipe or click to pay and complete your purchase!

You will receive a notification in your email letting you know that your booking is being processed, and once the trip has been confirmed by the airline, you'll receive another email with your itinerary, receipt, and airline information.

To view your trip details, check-in, contact support, and more, simply tap or click on your upcoming trip for more options.
