## What is a low-cost carrier?

A low-cost carrier, also known as a budget airline or discount airline, is an airline that offers cheaper fares compared to traditional airlines. Their primary focus is on providing affordable transportation, making air travel more accessible to everyone.

### How do I manage my low-cost carrier booking?

Please note that if you have booked with a low-cost airline through Hopper, the booking is managed directly by the airline. For any changes or cancellations, the airline will need to be contacted directly. Hopper is unable to manage bookings for these airlines. However, you can access the airline's website by clicking on "Check In & Manage Booking" directly from your trip in the app or by clicking on “Check in for your flight” on the web.

  

In the app, you can find this option. Go to the bottom of the "Trip Summary" page in your account after clicking on the booking you require assistance with.

On the web, you can find it by clicking on “View Details” on your trip, then tapping on “View All” next to the airline confirmation codes. Once you hit “Copy and Go” you will be taken directly to the airline website.

### Can I receive a refund for my low-cost carrier booking?

Our agreement with most low-cost carriers requires us to collect the funds directly and then transfer the payment to the airline from Hopper's account. If you are waiting for a refund, please be aware that it may take 1-2 weeks for the refund to be processed and credited back to your account. Please note that refunds are at the discretion of the airline. 

### Good to know

*   For many Low-Cost Carrier bookings, the Hopper confirmation code will usually begin with a "Z-."
