## **How do I request a refund?**

For most eligible bookings, you can initiate your refund request on Hopper by canceling your booking. Depending whether or not your booking is managed directly with Hopper or with one of our travel partners, you may be redirected to the website of the airline, hotel, or car rental company to complete your cancellation and initiate the refund process.

### **Refund eligibility**

Refund eligibility varies depending on the type of booking. Your confirmation email will list your cancellation policy at the bottom of the receipt. Remember, refunds are always at the discretion of the airline, hotel, or car rental company and Hopper can only process a refund if authorized. Similarly, Hopper cannot change the original form of payment on file for the refund. If your original form of payment has since expired or been cancelled, you will need to contact your financial institution for more assistance. In most cases, they are able to forward the refund to your new card.

#### Low-cost carriers

Most often, you will need to cancel flights with low-cost carriers (also called budget airlines) like Spirit, Frontier, or Norwegian Air directly on their website. They will email you a confirmation of cancellation and direct you to Hopper to process your refund. To initiate the refund, contact Hopper support and share the cancellation email.

_Note: Bookings with low-cost carriers have confirmation codes that begin with “Z-” or “X-” eg. (Z-ABCDEFG)._
