What is a multi-city flight?

Hopper offers even more travel flexibility when booking flights with the “multi-city” flight option!

While a normal round-trip flight offers a "there-and-back again" pattern (from point A, to point B, and then back to A), multi-city bookings allow you to book a flight that returns to a completely new city. For example, you can book a flight starting in New York, landing in London, but returning to Vancouver instead.

Multi-city flights can be used to create layovers during the course of your travel, allowing you to visit several cities in one trip. Do you live in San Francisco, but want to spend a month exploring Southeast Asia? You can book your first segment of your trip from San Francisco to Hong Kong. From there, you can book separate one-way segments from Hong Kong to Bangkok, Bangkok to Kuala Lumpur, Kuala Lumpur to Singapore, and Singapore back to San Francisco. Multi-city bookings allow you to get creative with your travel patterns!

  • Specific travel patterns, destinations, and availability are at the discretion of the airlines and are subject to change. Some Multi-city routes may not be available at certain times.  
  • You can add up to 6 city pairs/origin destination pairs.
